Nacon and White Wolf have announced Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish during the ongoing Xbox Partner Preview. It will be available in summer 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish is based on White Wolf’s TTRPG, set in the World of Darkness setting. It’s heavily inspired by games such as Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlinesand Baldur’s Gate 3. An Xbox Wire interview with game director Piotr Łatocha further outlines the upcoming game:
“You are in the real world – New York, so real city – and the whole thing is that you’ve been living in a lie. As the player, you discover that there is a second world you never knew about, that has monsters lurking in the shadows. Some situations in the story lead you to a point of no return, where you need to pick up the fight and become the hunter or be prey.
It’s a first-person game. We expanded a bit on the RoboCop: Rogue City formula, but this is a slower game with some investigation, with some romance options, companion bonding, a branching story, very different side quests, and very different approaches to solving problems. I believe it’s the best way to approach a cool RPG game.
I would also say it’s a semi-open world game, where you have the main quest line, and then you have a lot of different side quests that you can take on. The main quest follows a rather linear path, but of course it has some branches. You can also build the bond with the companions you have, and you can influence their personal stories, so they can end up with totally different states by the end of the game.”

The global version of War of the Visions Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was shut down permanently on May 29, 2025. Square Enix had determined that the game would be difficult to maintain the game over time. Aspyr Media and Crystal Dynamics have announced that Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered will release for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on March 31. The game initially released on March 3.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Final Weapon reviewed the game, giving it a 3.5/5. We described it as a “great re-release for a game that has aged quite poorly. You can now toggle a third-person perspective instead of the original fixed-camera, yet there are still major issues with the combat and some significant glitches scattered throughout the game. That said, the new quality-of-life features and the addition of cut content and lost media make this a must-buy for fans of the franchise, regardless of any shortcomings.”

Riot Games has announced that Akali, the next character coming to 2XKO, will be available on April 7. She’ll be available alongside patch 1.1.5.
Previously, Riot Games announced that the next two characters releasing for the game are Akali and Senna. In a post, Shaun Rivera, the director of 2XKO, further described the characters: “Akali is 2XKO’s next champion. She’s a sharp, stylish ninja who cuts opponents down with deadly precision. Meet Senna, who wields the power of light and shadow. Blasts enemies with a massive cannon, then rush them down in her wraith form. We’ll have more to share about these two later, but in the meantime, we’re looking forward to your hot takes and theorycrafting.”

Gotcha Gotcha Games has announced a mysterious “new project” in the RPG Maker franchise via a newly released trailer. The trailer hints that the new entry will feature a style inspired by HD-2D games.
The trailer starts with a look at the series’ traditional 2D RPG style, before transiting into the HD-2D style. Over the last few years, several beloved RPGs have been made in the HD-2D style, such as the Dragon Quest I-IIIremakes and the Octopath Travelerfranchise. The official website for the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Q Hayashida’s Dorohedoro manga announced that Ami Koshimizu will voice the character Haru. Dorohedoro Season 2 will debut on April 1 at 11:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m. EDT) on various platforms.
Yuichiro Hayashi is returning to direct the new season at MAPPA, and Tomohiro Kishi is returning as the character designer. Miho Sugiura is the art director, and Itsuku Onishi is the color key artist. Both Netflix and Crunchyroll will stream the second season as it airs. (K)NoW_NAME performs both the opening theme song “Zettai Must Danmen” and the ending theme song “Return to Head” for Dorohedoro Season 2.
