The staff of the new Doraemon 2026 film, titled Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil, confirmed the film’s February 27, 2026 premiere. In addition, the staff revealed two new cast members for Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil.
The new cast members include:
- Shōya Chiba as character El
- Ryō Hirohashi as Mizunaka Buggy (Underwater Buggy)
Tetsuo Yajima returns after directing episodes of the Doraemon TV anime series and contributing to Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s New Great Adventure into the Underworld, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Steel Troops: The New Age, and Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyū Symphony. Isao Murayama wrote the new film’s screenplay.
What’s more, the long-running Doraemon TV anime series received a new ending theme song with the October 4 episode broadcast in Japan. Tani Yuuki performs the new ending theme song “Moshi Monogatari,” which will be the anime’s first new ending theme since 2005.
Fans can also look forward to Doraemon Comic Traveler, a new online Doraemon browser RPG coming to the company’s G123 platform. Players can pre-register by heading to G123 or following the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. At 30,000 pre-registrations, players will earn 1,000 Gems at launch. At 50,000 pre-registrations, players earn an additional 1,000 Gems and two Gold Keys. 100,000 pre-registrations awards another 1,000 Gems, two more Gold Keys, and two Legendary Keys.
