Capcom has released its free Prologue demo for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds and opened pre-orders for the full game in the Nintendo eShop. Pre-orders for Monster Hunter Wilds by December 3 will include an early adopter discount ($29.99), the “Guild Knight Set” layered armor, and “Hope Charm” talisman as bonuses for Nintendo Switch 2 players.
What’s more, the physical Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Edition is also currently available for pre-order via retailers for $39.99. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and Deluxe Pack cosmetic items. This is in addition to all of the Title Update content that will already be included with the base game, including the Grand Hub, additional monsters, the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration, and more. The Switch 2 version also supports full cross-play with all other platforms.
As previously announced, the Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo contains the opening of the game’s story, and save data can be carried over to the full game on Nintendo Switch 2. The demo doesn’t support online multiplayer.
Monster Hunter Wilds will fully launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4. The Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance expansion is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2, which is in development for a 2027 release. Among the confirmed monsters, Elder Dragon Teostra will be making a return in the Ascendance expansion.
Monster Hunter Wilds is already available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A free demo for Monster Hunter Wilds is also available alongside the game’s latest major update, which lets players transfer progress over from the demo. In addition, there are various new bundles for Monster Hunter Wilds that have replaced the old editions of the game.
