Xenosaga makes yet another cameo.

Tonight, Nintendo has released a brand-new overview trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, set to release digitally on July 30 for the console. This trailer revealed a first look at Pyra & Mythra’s new outfits, as well as the reveal of M.O.M.O. as the new Blade exclusive to the Switch 2 Edition. Another major feature of this version of the game is Merc Assault, a new mode that allows you to choose up to six Blades and play as them in combat.

M.O.M.O. is the new Rare Blade, and this pick is quite interesting considering M.O.M.O. is yet another character from the Xenosaga series. She joins both KOS-MOS and T-elos, who are both already Blades in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. You can check out the new overview trailer below:

Beyond these new additions, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will support 4K resolution and 60FPS gameplay, with 1080p support in handheld mode. This falls in line with both Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Cutscenes and gameplay have both received these enhancements.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is set to release digitally on July 30 for Nintendo Switch 2. A physical copy of the game, which includes the upgrade pack and can be played on either Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, will launch on October 1.
