Get the full details below:

Four Luxurios “Early Purchase Bonus DLCs” for Cepters Old and New

The “Culdcept” series first began in 1997. To help you dive deeper into this first all-new title in 10 years, we have prepared four types of downloadable content (DLC) for use in the game. These bonuses—including iconic characters from the series’ history and exclusive book covers—allow players to truly feel the legacy of the franchise.

Early Purchase Bonus DLC

1. “Zeneth” newly illustrated by Satoshi Matsuura

Zeneth of the Dragon Eye is the iconic character who has appeared in every single title in the series. For this special bonus, the game’s lead designer, Satoshi Matsuura, has created a brand-new illustration. Players can select Zeneth as a COM opponent or use him as their own in-game avatar.

2. “Najaran” newly illustrated by Satoshi Matsuura

Najaran, the protagonist of the Culdcept manga series, makes her appearance in Culdcept BEGINS. Just like Zeneth, she has been specially redesigned and illustrated by Satoshi Matsuura for this bonus. She is available both as a COM opponent and as a playable avatar.

3. Book Cover: “Culdra (1st Edition)”

Culdra is the goddess who created the world of Culdcept. This special book cover features the original main visual from the very first Culdcept title, illustrated by renowned sci-fi artist Naoyuki Kato. This design can be used to customize the covers of your in-game Books (decks).

4. Book Cover: “The Four Gods” (EU Exclusive Design) / “Iksear” (North America Exclusive Design)

The EU-exclusive custom book cover design, “The Four Gods,” is a special design that incorporates “神々の邂逅,” an artwork originally created by the renowned Japanese sci-fi artist Naoyuki Kato for the Sega Saturn version. The North America-exclusive design is a brand-new illustration of the God of Water, “Iksear,” created specifically for this title. These designs can be used to customize your Books (decks) within the game.

What’s more, a Culdcept BEGINS Deluxe Edition will be available featuring a physical edition of the game and Culdcept The First, a complete card book with designs by Satoshi Matsuura, and an original soundtrack CD by the soundteam at Noisycroak, along with a digital download code for the soundtrack.

Culdcept BEGINS will release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 16, and a PC (Steam) will launch at a later date. Pre-orders for the Standard and SteelBook Editions of Culdcept BEGINS are available for $54.99 and $89.99 in the Clear River Games online store, respectively. Here’s an overview, via the game’s official website:

You’re a fighter pilot, adrift at sea in a rescue boat until the outdated aircraft carrier, Endurance, pulls you aboard. Your homeland’s navy is shattered. The aging vessel, its decks crowded with refugees, has already retreated far from the front lines.

July 2029: The Federation of Central Usea (FCU) has fallen under a lightning invasion by the Republic of Sotoa. Most of the nation is occupied, the military is scattered, and the Endurance is just one fragment of what remains. On this shop, you’re given a single name: “Wings of Theve”. A legendary ace, a symbol of hope, a name tied to Theve, the FCU capital.

But that legend was a lie; it was a story made to keep morale alive. Now, you must carry that name and take to the skies again. With three new comrades at your side, fight to reclaim your lost homeland.

The Ace Combat series soundtrack is now streaming on various music distribution websites, including Apple Music and Spotify. An Ace Combat 1 Hour Mix is also streaming now on YouTube.
