The Pokémon Company announced that a Pokémon Presents broadcast will air on February 27 at 6:00 a.m. PST / 9:00 a.m. EST via the official Pokémon YouTube channel. The broadcast will celebrate Pokémon Day 2025 with a slew of news and updates regarding the franchise.
Select games, such as Pokémon Legends Z-A, were not confirmed for Pokémon Presents at the time of this writing. However, it’s more than likely that Pokémon Legends Z-A, Pokemon GO, and Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket will receive updates at the showcase.

That same day, the new Pokémon anime titled Dragonite and the Mailman will premiere on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. The anime focuses on Hana, a girl that admires a Dragonite who serves as a postal worker. When she gets a letter addressed to no one, she sets out to find the sender alongside her Fuecoco. The sender is a boy named Rio, who wants to send the letter to his father in the Kanto region. With his father’s birthday approaching, it seems like he might not be able to receive the letter on time.
Nintendo and Pokémon fans can also look forward to the Nintendo Switch 2 console later this year. Nintendo Switch 2 features a new stand, new magnetic joycons, a mysterious new button, and a new dock and handheld base. The console is expected to have Hall Effect sticks, which eliminate the stick drift problems of the original Nintendo Switch. More official details about the console will be revealed at the April 2 Nintendo Direct. Fans hoping to try the console out can attend the “Switch 2 Experience” events at participating venues around the world.
