Bandai Namco Entertainment, Shueisha, and Toei Animation hosted ONE PIECE DAY ’26 from August 22 to August 23 at the Makuhari Messe in Japan and revealed several announcements for the One Piece franchise. The event also saw the reveal of the end results for the second global One Piece character poll “WORLD TOP 100 (WT100),” which was held to celebrate the manga surpassing 600 million copies.
Fans watching ONE PIECE DAY ’26 at home were treated to the reveal of new cast members for the third season of Netflix’s One Piece live-action series, along with confirmation of the ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY and ONE PIECE FILM BAAD. In addition, fans in-person and at home experienced special stages with an all-star lineup of voice actors and live musical performances.
With 13,086,239 points collected from fans around the world, the WORLD TOP 100 results saw Monkey D. Luffy claim the top spot once more. Roronoa Zoro came in second place, followed by Sanji in third place. To celebrate these results, creator Eiichiro Oda will create a new “Special Outfit” for the top 30 characters, and a new illustration for Luffy was presented. The new illustrations will be featured in the anime, ONE PIECE CARD GAME, and various One Piece merchandise.
The One Piece Elbaph Arc special voice cast panel saw the cast bring scenes from the recent anime to life. In one moment, Shanks voice actor Shuichi Ikeda made as surprise appearance. The program also explored the cast members’ “Another Voices,” which highlighted other characters they’ve portrayed in the anime.
To close out ONE PIECE DAY ’26, there was a special live concert featuring Hiroshi Kitadani, Maki Otsuki, AiNA THE END, and 36km/h. Kitadani’s signature “UUUUUS!” was followed up by 36km/h’s performances of Future, the ending theme song of One Piece Elbaph Arc, and “Hello” from MONSTERS. AiNA THE END performed the opening theme song “Luminous,” as well as the One Piece Heroines theme song “Blue Shining Star.”
The final performances were also very memorable. Maki Otsuki performed the insert song “Never Was Alone in This World,” which accompanied the reunion between Nico Robin and Saul. Kitadani brought the energy back up for the finale with “Jungle P” before being joined by the voice cast and costumed characters for a performance of the iconic song “We Are!”
