Mavix Studio Desk Review – Simple, Clean, and Sturdy

    The minimalist's choice, and a gamer's upgrade.

Studio desks can turn an ordinary room into a dedicated space for gaming and work, and the Mavix Studio Desk certainly brings a minimalist touch that can fit anywhere. The Mavix Studio Desk is simple with a clean design, but its most surprising features were made immediately present as soon as you start taking it out of the box.

Firstly, the Mavix Studio Desk comes in three sizes: 20in x 40in, 24in x 48in, and 27in x 54in. I chose the 27in x 54in studio desk, since I want enough space for my monitor, PC, keyboard and mouse, and other materials for my gaming and work needs. This size turned out to be perfect without enough room to set down some controllers, my Nintendo Switch, and my One Piece mousepad from CASETiFY, and the stellar X-4 chair. In addition, the setup process was incredibly straightforward.

The Mavix Studio Desk is Versatile and Quick to Assemble

Regardless of the size you pick, the Mavix Studio Desk only needs a few steps to assemble, and I did it by myself with the largest desk they offer. I definitely recommend having a friend along for assembly, however, as this desk can weigh up to 83.1 pounds with the largest variant. After taking the table top out of the box, I simply needed to twist the four legs into each socket and set it up right—no tools needed. That only needed a minute or two, with the only assemble only taking three minutes or so.

During the quick setup, I certainly noticed how sleek and modern the table is, including the smooth finish that extends to the rounded corners. Fingerprints and oils will definitely show up on the desk’s surface as a result, however. Despite that, the desk and its finish seem quite durable, so I definitely do not see any scratches or marks developing on it for a very long time.

Mavix Studio Desk is very versatile, and there are a number of options available at Mavix.com that let you personalize it. There are six colors to choose from for the table top, along with a seventh bamboo option. I chose the Shadow color to match my black NR200 case and keyboard/mouse combo from Glorious, and I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out. Each desk also comes with a fabric cable manager that attaches with velcro underneath the table top.

You can also pick between metal, bamboo, and tapered bamboo legs for the Mavix Studio desk. It’s worth noting that the metal legs are rounded, while the bamboo options have actual feet to ground the desk to the floor. Personally, I prefer the metal legs since it matches the Shadow color I chose.

    Solid and Simple

Mavix Studio Desks range from $340 to $439, so the pricing is quite competitive when you look at other gaming desks on the market today. It’s more than the gaming desks you will find on Amazon or Newegg, but it’s also affordable in its class considering the build quality and premium feel.

The Mavix Studio Desk’s simple design and durable build make it a stand-out choice in the market, and it’s only real drawback come with the table top’s finish and its propensity for gathering fingerprints. This is the minimalist’s ideal desk, and the quick build process makes this an awesome option for gamers preparing their first PC gaming setup, too.
