Crunchyroll has revealed its September 2026 showings for its Anime Nights theater event. The event will give audience members the chance to watch certain anime in theaters ahead of its worldwide streaming/TV premiere.
Showings, and tickets for said showings, are available to purchase throughout the United States and Canada. Black Clover Season 2, The Vermilion Mask, Overgeared, Firefly Wedding, and PSYREN will premiere in theaters in Japanese with English subtitles. These will be available to watch in theaters starting on September 21. The anime will premiere worldwide at a later date.
Firefly Wedding in particular will air on October 9. A new trailer recently released, which highlighted the new cast members of Kent Itō as Kōtarō Ogawa and Kenjirō Tsuda as Mitsueda. Previously announced cast members include Satoko Kirigaya as Lynn and Kōki Uchiyama as Shinpei Gotō. It also previewed the ending theme song “Yumegokochi (Trance)” by TOOBOE. Takahiro Kamei is directing the anime at david production—the studio known for animating the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series. Yukiko Aikei is the character designer. Yūko Kakihara oversees and writes the series scripts, and NOGRID composes the music.
Oreko Tachibana launched the manga on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app in January 2023. The manga’s 12th volume was published by Shogakukan this past September. VIZ Media publishes the manga in English. Lastly, here’s a description of the manga’s story, via VIZ Media:
