The staff of the TV anime adaptation of Dr. Poro and Nabana Naba’s The Vermilion Mask manga series have revealed the main promotional video and cast members ahead of the anime’s October 2026 premiere and two-part run.
The main cast of The Vermilion Mask includes:

- Yuuki Yamamoto as Sonarue Maywood
- Kazuki Ura as Mok Sharib
- Takanori Hoshino as Gouon
- Wataru Komada as Totoque
- Junya Enoki as Zent
- Kazuhiko Inoue as Gaston
- Akio Otsuka as Mask of the Warrior God
Tetsuaki Watanabe directs The Vermilion Mask at anime studio 100Studio (WOW Studio). Gai Hazako is the assistant director, Daisuke Ōhigashi is in charge of series composition, and Hisashi Higashijima is the character designer. Fumiyuki Go is the sound director, and Arisa Okehazama is the music composer.

Peru, pupil of the legendary mask maker Gaston Roux, becomes controlled by the “Mask of the Warrior God,” and unintentionally kills his friends, and even his own master.
In order to prevent this type of tragedy from reoccurring, Peru swears to destroy all of Gaston’s masks that are spread around the world. Confronting the sins that he has committed, he embarks on his voyage. Meeting new friends, then confronting powerful foes. The boy continues on. Until the day he can atone for his sins against his master.

Dr. Poro and Naba launched the manga series in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine in February 2021. Shonengahosha publishes the manga in print. Orange’s emaqi e-bookstore platform publishes The Vermilion Mask in English, and volumes 1-3 of the original manga can be read for free on COMIC Y-OURS now.
