Nintendo published its earnings release for the quarter ending on March 31, 2024, revealing that the Nintendo Switch sales reached 141.32 million worldwide. Updated sales figures for Nintendo Switch software were also revealed.
1.96 million Nintendo Switch hardware units were moved in the third quarter of fiscal year ending in March 2024. Additionally, 35.72 million software units were sold on Nintendo Switch in the same quarter. This brings the grand total of Nintendo Switch software units sold to 1.235 billion.

Nintendo reports good sales for many of its evergreen titles, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and even Pikmin 4. Hardware and software sales saw a 12.6% and 6.7% decrease year-over-year respectively, however.
Despite this, Nintendo’s revenue from digital sales (downloadable content, digital games, Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions) increased by 9.4% to 443.3 billion yen. Moreover, the reveal of the Nintendo Switch successor is imminent in the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2025.
