Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silksong Physical Editions Launch in October

Fangamer has announced that physical editions of Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: Silksong will release on October 16. Both will be available on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, and Hollow Knight: Silksong will also have an Xbox Series X|S version.

The physical edition of Hollow Knight: Silksong can be pre-ordered now for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $39, and for Nintendo Switch 2 for $45. The Switch 2 version is also playable on Nintendo Switch. Included is the base game on disc or cartridge (the upcoming Sea of Sorrow DLC will be available as a free update on a later date), a reversible cover, and a 32 page manual. There is also a poster of the map of Pharloom, where the game takes place.

The physical edition of Hollow Knight can be pre-ordered too for PlayStation 5 ($35) and Nintendo Switch 2 ($39), with the Switch 2 Edition also capable of running out-of-the-box on Nintendo Switch. Similarly, contained will be a disc or cartridge with the game, a reversible cover, and a 28 page manual. Again, a map of the setting is included as a poster, this time Hallownest. Hollow Knight is already available physically for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Both games are currently available digitally on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG. Hollow Knight: Silksong can also be found on the Microsoft Store and is included in Xbox Game Pass. The developers at Team Cherry previously announced Sea of Sorrow as a DLC for Hollow Knight: Silksong, with no release date yet.

BeamNG.drive Coming to PlayStation 5 in 2026

BeamNG have announced that BeamNG.drive will get a PlayStation 5 release this year. It also gave information about the upcoming 0.39 patch for the PC version of the game.

BeamNG.drive saw release in early access in May 2015. It is a physics based driving game with a focus on realism. It allows players to drive in a variety of environments and game modes. BeamNG.drive has the goal of encouraging player freedom through major vehicle customization.

BeamNG provided some details on the upcoming 0.39 update to the early access build available on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Humble Store:

A considerable part of the upcoming v0.39 update is dedicated to a graphics overhaul that’s been in development for quite some time now.

All of this comes paired with underlying optimizations and a fully revised set of graphics quality presets – carefully tuned for a better balance between visual fidelity and performance.

Speaking of performance – we’ve also put serious effort into improving memory efficiency. RAM and GPU prices have recently skyrocketed, and we hope our work can offset at least some of the impact. The new version brings meaningful reductions in both RAM and VRAM usage (depending on what content you’re running and which mods you have installed, of course), along with reduced peak memory consumption during loading screens, which can trim load times in some cases.

On the content side, we’re happy to confirm that a new vehicle is on the way too, together with the usual array of improvements to all existing vehicles, among which is a new orange peel paint effect.

The physics engine is getting some attention as well – the aerodynamics simulation has been expanded to include effects like slipstreaming, side drafting, and bump drafting. This should make racing more strategic and offer new ways to practice hypermiling, if that’s your thing. And the improvements don’t stop there – we’ve also added a new dynamic damping system that reduces force feedback oscillations for a cleaner feel at the wheel.

BeamNG also confirmed that its working on multiplayer, but it isn’t ready yet for release.

Bandai Namco announced that Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker DLC character Jiraiya (Sage Mode) will be added in a new update on May 29. Jiraiya (Sage Mode) will be the 48th DLC character in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, kicking off Season 10.

The update also adds the following Ninjutsu and Avatar Parts:

Previously, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker DLC character Kimimaro launched on February 29 as the final Season Pass 9 character. The Kimimaro update also included a slew of new additions, including Kimimaro’s Ninjutsu Larch Dance (Attack) and Clematis Dance (Attack), along with his Secret Technique Bracken Dance (Attack). 

Fans can also look forward to new projects that will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Naruto anime, including “games developed by new partners.” TV Tokyo CEO and president Hiroshi Yoshitsugu notes that the company aims to build global momentum toward the Naruto anime’s 25th anniversary in 2027.

Lastly, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It is also playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility.

SEGA has announced its latest round of updates and events for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis to kick off June 2026, which includes the game’s 5th anniversary celebration in Shin Super Origin Festival and events celebrating the 35th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Shin Super Origin Festival

The Shin Super Origin Festival celebrates the 5th anniversary of NGS, starting on June 3. Central City and the Region Mags will be dressed for the occasion, and players can find flocks of Ceremo Rappy and Ceremo Emperappy joining in the celebrations all around Halpha! The navigator for the occasion, Xitre, will be wearing a wedding dress for this Seasonal Event. Be sure to speak to her to receive her requests and complete them to get rewards! The Anga Phandaj Mask accessory and Build Parts such as Hydrangea Plant B and Bridal Confection B can be obtained from the Seasonal Points Exchange Shop.

The Seasonal Event-exclusive Shin Super Origin Festival ’26 SP Scratch will also be available just for the occasion. Gather its Scratch Tickets to get the * Tzvia Almati CV2 and * Resurgir Almati CV2 Weapon Camo, and more! You can acquire Scratch Tickets to draw in the Scratch through a variety of means, including but not limited to Limited-time Quests and the Seasonal Points Exchange Shop. Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks will also be added for the seasonal event. Complete the Tasks and you can get rewards like TA Customization Disc X/Omni, N-Master Cubes, and Arms Refiner II.

Weapon Updates

The 15-star rarity Granillusion weapon series is coming soon! In addition to raising Critical Rate and Damage Resistance, these weapons can also reduce PP Consumption. When using this series as a material, you can do an Augment Transfer without an N-Augment Transfer Pass, just like the 12-star rarity Klirodim series! More enhancements are coming in future updates! Three new EX Augments and strengthened versions of current EX Augments will be added; these EX Augments will be affixed to the Granillusion and Klirodim series weapons obtained from Realm Investigation: Ruins.

Starting June 3, players can customize Photon Arts for Swords, Twin Daggers, Katana, Soaring Blades, Assault Rifles, Twin Machine Guns, Talises, Wands, and Harmonizers as well as Lightning Techniques. Find items needed for Tech Arts Customization from Limited-time Tasks, so take this chance to try out new customizations!

Realm Investigation: Ruins

A new quest type, Realm Investigation: Ruins, will make its debut. Quests of this type take place in areas that are connected to the Dimensional Rift. There are no time limits, and the goal is to defeat the enemies and clear the trials that occur here. Gain Exploration Points by defeating enemies and spend them to get ability boosts from the Boost Device. A wide array of boosts are available, including one that allows ARKS to launch follow-up attacks on specific types of enemies to pick up as many of these boosts as they can while battling!

In addition to the new trials, Hunt Rally, Rare Enemy Infestation, and Grim Monolith Purge, a new boss enemy: Ruine Shraider Λ (lambda) will also show up to stop players in their tracks. These trials offer a ton of Exploration Points when they’re cleared, so strategize wisely to tackle them. Ruine Shraider Λ has lots of tricks up its shell to throw you off in battle. It can withdraw into its huge shell, attack with lightning speed, and more! Read its movements carefully and make use of the boosts to defeat it! There will also be Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks for this quest. Complete these Tasks to earn Titles, * Granillusion Almati weapon camo, and Shin Super Origin Fest. ’26 SP Scratch Tickets!

The 15-star rarity Granillusion weapon series will be a rare reward in this quest and will come with an enhancement level of +100, and 8 Augments affixed. These weapons can also include the Preset Skill: Fixa Termina Lv.5 for Gunblades or Fixa Blastor Lv.5 for all other weapons. This is a good opportunity for both veteran and returning players to swap current weapons for these stronger ones!

Happy 35th Birthday, Sonic!

Edge of Memories is Getting a Steam Demo Soon

NACON and Midgar Studio has announced that a new demo for action RPG Edge of Memories will be available on June 15 for PC via Steam during Steam Next Fest. The Edge of Memories demo contains the game’s first chapter, allowing fans to discover the story of Eline, face the game’s first boss, and explore the Estfalian Coast area. The demo will feature roughly two hours of content.

A sample of the Edge of Memories original soundtrack is now streaming on various music distribution services, including Spotify and Amazon Music.

Board Game RPG VIractal is Coming to Switch and Switch 2

Dokapon developer Sting has announced that board game RPG VIractal is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on September 30. In Japan, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will be available physically and digitally for 4,950 yen, and the digital Switch version will be available for 3,960 yen alongside an Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade pack for 990 yen.

STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar Update 1.5 is Now Available Alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Versions

Marvelous has released the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar for $49.99 alongside the version 1.5 update. STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar update 1.5 is accompanied by the release of the new paid “Bachelor” & “Bachelorette Sweetheart Set” cosmetic DLCs on all platforms, adding outfits based on fan-favorite romance candidates for $4.99 each or $7.99 for the bundle. 

The new update introduces quality-of-life improvements like the White Wonderstone, a new item that can be used to increase windmill performance temporarily. Players can also have organized farmers stack or group items of different quality levels. To celebrate the release of the update and new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, Marvelous is collaborating with Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, California on June 20 and June 27. There will be new STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar-themed sweets to enjoy while supplies last. 

Similar to the original release, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar received Digital Deluxe and Super Digital Deluxe Editions for $59.99 and $69.99, respectively. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the game and the “Trunk of Transformation” set. The Super Digital Deluxe Edition includes Digital Deluxe Edition contents, a digital soundtrack, and digital art book. All digital editions include the “Cow Set” as an added bonus, according to the game’s official website. The physical release of the PS5 version is exclusive to Amazon in the U.S. 

STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar first launched on August 27, 2025, for $49.99 on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) and $59.99 on Nintendo Switch 2. Physical copies are available at participating retailers and the Marvelous Online Store. Final Weapon previously reviewed STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar and gave it a 4.5 out of 5 score, noting that the game is “much more than just a simple remaster of the original on Nintendo DS.”
