Nintendo has announced Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, launching on February 17, 2026. To play Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics, subscribers will need Joy-Con or Joy-Con 2 controllers and a dedicated accessory based on the original Virtual Boy hardware—stereoscopic 3D included.
The Virtual Boy accessory for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $99.99 at the My Nintendo Store. A cardboard version of the Virtual Boy accessory will be sold for $24.99 at the My Nintendo Store as well. Either model is not compatible with the Nintendo Switch Lite, however.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is available now for $449.99. Switch 2 owners with an Expansion Pack members can access various GameCube games right now, including Super Mario Strikers, SoulCalibur 2, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and F-ZERO GX. Nintendo will add Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Super Mario Strikers, Chibi-Robo, Luigi’s Mansion, Pokémon Colosseum, and other GameCube games at a later date. A Nintendo Switch Online-exclusive GameCube controller is also available now.
