The Game Awards Twitter/X account has officially announced that Player’s Voice award voting is now available. This category will be 100% made up of fan votes. The winner of the award will be revealed on December 7, the night of The Game Awards 2023.
The Game Awards is an annual event hosted by gaming influencer and personality, Geoff Keighley. The event started in 2003 as The Spike Video Game Awards, or VGAs. In 2014, the label was officially changed to The Game Awards. The event will feature announcements and awards granted to the best video games released in 2023. The nominations are available now on the event’s official website.
The Game Awards 2023 Player’s Voice Award Nominations
On the official Game Awards Twitter/X account, it was revealed that the ability to vote on the Player’s Voice award for the 2023 TGAs is now available. Keighley first introduced the event last year. Genshin Impact won the award after a fierce battle with Sonic Frontiers. Round 1 for the nominations have started today, with the voting period ending on November 29. Round 2 will likely begin soon after.

The nominations for Game of the Year overlap with many of the games above. Examples include Spider-Man 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, and more. Geoff Keighley will likely reveal more information about The Game Awards 2023 in the coming days. Lastly, the event will air on December 7, 2023. It will last from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM EDT.
