Mortal Kombat 1 Omni-Man Gameplay Trailer Released

In a recent earnings call, David Zaslav, head of Warner Bros. Discovery, announced that Mortal Kombat 1 has reached almost three million sales. The milestone comes just in time for the release of Omni-Man, the first DLC character for the game who will be available tomorrow for Kombat Pass owners.

Despite Omni-Man being inspired by Superman, the character’s moveset doesn’t rely on any other powers beyond his super strength. Omni-Man uses his bare fists to annihilate opponents within moments. J.K. Simmons, the prolific actor who voiced the character in the original Invincible series, provides the voice of the character.

His fatal blow and fatalities are based on several moments from the Invincible cartoon. Fans of the series will find much familiarity with his playstyle. The addition of Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1 will coincide with the release of Invincible Season 2. Invincible Season 2 will air exclusively on Amazon Prime on November 3.

After Omni-Man, the following characters will be eventually added to the game via DLC: Ermac, Peacemaker from the DC universe, Quan Chi, Takeda Takahashi, and Homelander from The Boys. NetherRealm Studios will likely reveal more information on the next set of DLC characters soon.

Lastly, Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Omni-Man will be available to Kombat Pack owners on November 9 and for everyone else on November 16. Warner Bros. will likely reveal more information on Mortal Kombat 1‘s success in the coming months.
