Sonic Frontiers: The Final Horizon Launching Today
The new trailer for Sonic Frontiers: The Final Horizon showcases more of the update’s story. Sonic must move around the island to find another way to beat the game’s final boss, “The End.” While he does, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles must look for the last few chaos emeralds. The trailer reveals the way that each character will play, with Tails having several of his moves from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Check out the launch trailer below:
SEGA released Sonic Frontiers last year to mostly positive reviews. However, the game was criticized for its lack of polish and rushed final act. In response, the Sonic Team has focused on improving the game since its launch. They have released several updates, quality-of-life patches, and much more since its release in 2022.
The Final Horizon will address many of fans’ complaints about the game’s conclusion. The addition of new playable characters is something that has been highly requested as well. Despite the amount of content being added to the game, SEGA is not charging anything for these updates.
Sonic Frontiers is now available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The free update will be available for all consoles today at 5 PM PDT, 8 PM EDT, and 7 PM CDT. In addition to this update, the new 2D Sonic experience, Sonic Superstars, will launch a month later on October 17.
