At Gamescom Opening Night Live, SEGA revealed the release date of Sonic Superstars, which is October 17, 2023. This was unveiled in the form of a new trailer, which also showcased a new Battle Mode.
Sonic Superstars Reveals October 17 Release Date
This is the release date that was leaked previously by multiple storefronts. This puts the title’s release date right next to Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The main game will have the ability to play local co-op with up to four players. This means you can control Sonic, Tails, Amy, or Knuckles. For online, you can play in the Battle Mode, which acts as a free-for-all battle.
Fans can expect to see a bit more gameplay as we head into September, which is just over a month and a half from launch. Additionally, a new look at DLC for Sonic Frontiers was showcased today at Gamescom.
