Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Reveals Update 1.1.7 Patch Notes

Nerfs to Hokutomaru and Hotaru included.

SNK has revealed the patch notes for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves update 1.1.7. This patch includes various bug fixes and some adjustments to character balance. There are also some quality-of-life additions, such as the inclusion of a V-Sync option for consoles.

Additionally, COTW will receive many additions in Fall 2025, such as character-specific ranks. With the game’s launch, Phase 0 of the ranked match matchmaking begins until Fall 2025, which starts Phase 1 and many new features.

Phase 1 of the Ranked Match mode will introduce another rank within the mode and character-specific ranks. Phase 1 and these planned features will arrive around August to October 2025.

Also, as part of the SNK World Championship 2025, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will headline the tournament circuit with a $2,500,000 total prize pool. In particular, the winner of the tournament will take home $1,500,000. Qualifying tournaments will be held in various regions worldwide in the SNK World Championship 2025, so be sure to keep your eyes open for many events.

Lastly, five additional characters will arrive with Season Pass 1, including Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter. Here’s the DLC release schedule for Season Pass 1:

  • Andy Bogard (Summer 2025)
  • Street Fighter’s Ken (Summer 2025)
  • Joe Higashi (Fall 2025)
  • Street Fighter’s Chun-Li (Winter 2025)
  • Mr. Big (Early 2026)
