    The Game Awards 2023 Announces Nominees

    Ahead of next month's 10th annual show.

    The Game Awards has announced the 2023 nominees for this year’s show. This is ahead of the December 7 air date for the 10th annual The Game Awards live show. 

    The Game Awards Reveals Nominees for 2023

    This year, both Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 lead the charge with eight nominations each. As for publishers, Nintendo has 15 total nominations for games across their publishing and development branches. Sony Interactive Entertainment received 13 nominations, with Microsoft Xbox/Bethesda/Activision Blizzard receiving 10. Finally, Epic Games received nine nominations, leading third-party publishers.

    A total of 112 different games, teams, events, and individuals were nominated for the award show. Below, you can find a full list of nominees for this year’s The Game Awards.

    As a reminder, fan voting only accounts for 10% of the actual vote. 90% of the voting weight is given to the voting jury, comprised of dozens of media outlets across the world.
