Square Enix has announced that Octopath Traveler II will be coming to Xbox and Windows. It will be available in early 2024.
Octopath Traveler II is the latest entry in Square Enix’s hit HD-2D JRPG series. They released the game in February 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Nintendo Switch. Square will likely reveal more information on the game’s release date on Xbox and Windows in the coming months.
Octopath Traveler II Coming to Xbox and Windows
Octopath Traveler II will be officially available on all consoles in early 2024. Square Enix released a press release confirming the announcement:
“Today, Square Enix and Xbox announced that Octopath Traveler II, the latest entry in the critically acclaimed Octopath Traveler RPG series will be launching on Xbox and Windows PC early next year. Developed by the same team behind the beloved original, which spawned a series that has sold over four million copies combined worldwide.
“Octopath Traveler II improves upon the series’ iconic HD-2D visuals: a striking blend of retro 2D characters in a beautiful 3D world. The game’s new storyline, characters and features make it the perfect entry for newcomers to the series, while also preserving the charm of the original game for veteran players. Players can look forward to following the journey of eight distinct protagonists as they explore the land and conquer enemies in strategic turn-based battles on an adventure all their own.”
