Nippon Ichi Software revealed a new trailer for its upcoming “superpowers x academy” turn-based RPG Xicatrice, which launches this summer in Japan. The latest trailer introduces the premise of the new RPG while recapping previously released information.
Students will live ordinary high school lives in between their deadly missions in Xicatrice. The constant looming threats appear to be caused by the students’ past trauma and their own superpowers. These students must overcome their trauma to avoid losing control and turning into abnormal users. This process includes facing off against Doppels, which are virtual manifestations of a user’s unconscious and psyche. Students must persevere the ordeals placed in front of them to finally move on with their lives.
The debut trailer for Xicatrice introduces the game’s mechanics, the main cast of characters, and Doppels. Nippon Ichi Software will share more trailers in the near future that will delve deeper into what player’s can expect in Xicatrice. For example, players can expect a rundown of side content, classes, and much more soon.
