SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance SEGA Villains Stage DLC Releases on April 3

SEGA has announced the SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance SEGA Villains Stage DLC will launch on April 3. The new DLC will include three new bosses: Goro Majima boss from the Yakuza / Like a Dragon franchiseDeath Adder from Golden Axe and Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog.

The SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance SEGA Villains Stage DLC includes: 

  • Three new bosses
  • Five new stages 
  • Two new Boss Rush modes 
  • Three new ninpo
  • Three new outfits 
  • Six new music tracks 

Players can purchase the SEGA Villains Stage DLC as a standalone item for $9.99 or as an upgrade pack for $11.99. 

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance launched on August 29 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $29.99, and a free demo is available now. A Digital Deluxe Edition is available for $39.99 featuring the Season Pass and SEGA Villains Stage DLC, the Starter Pack (Ghost Outfit, Medic Lite Amulet, and in-game currency), a digital art book, and a digital soundtrack.

Previously, SEGA released a SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance trailer for featuring the new original song YDB of the Wu Legacy and son of Ol’ Dirty Bastard. “The Path Just Begun” by YDB is also available on various music platforms and streaming services, and new SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance apparel by YDB’s Dirty Magic brand is available. SEGA also collaborated with Kinjaz for a music video with a choreographed dance routine playing YDB’s “The Path Just Begun.”

The original soundtrack of SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is composed by Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, Streets of Rage 4) and Yuzo Koshiro (The Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Shenmue). Fans can experience the soundtrack in the free demo.

9 R.I.P. sequel is Coming to Switch in the West

Idea Factory International has announced that otome visual novel 9 R.I.P. sequel is coming to Nintendo Switch physically and digitally in 2026 in the west. 9 R.I.P. sequel includes 9 full routes, including direct continuations of the Heavenly and Godly Endings from 9 R.I.P. There will also be new sub characters and unlockable bonus content.

Idea Factory International will release a physical Standard Edition and Limited Edition of 9 R.I.P. on the IFI Online Store. Limited Edition contents will be revealed at a later date.

Happinet has announced that Yoneori’s The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World light novel series is getting an anime adaptation in 2026. The anime’s teaser visual, main cast, and main staff members were also revealed.

The anime’s main cast includes Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi and Yūki Ono as Vil. Atsushi Nigorikawa directs the anime at EMT Squared. Takashi Aoshima is in charge of series scripts, novel illustrator Akane Nitou is credited for the original character designs, and Izumi Ishii is drawing the characters. Ankichi Kobo is credited for production assistance.

Yoneori launched the series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the novels with illustration by Nitou in 2020. Nana Kogami launched the manga adaptation on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in 2020, and the fourth compiled book volume was shipped in May 2025.

A newly launched website has announced a TV anime adaptation of Kazami Sawatari and Aitiki’s Shiotaiō no Satō-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai (The Cold Sato-san Is Only Sweet to Me) light novel series. The Shiotaiō no Satō-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai anime will premiere in 2026, and a new teaser promotional video, visual, main cast, and staff were also revealed alongside an illustration by manga artist Kaya Tetsuyama.

The anime main cast members include Hiiro Ishibashi as Sōta Oshio and Miku Itō as Koharu Satō. Regarding the staff, Fumihiro Yoshimura directs the anime at Tezuka Productions, and Takashi Aoshima is in charge of the series scripts. Daisuke Okushima is the character designer, and Shun Narita is the music composer. 

Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint began publishing the light novel series in 2019, and 12 volumes have been released as of August 20, 2025. Kaya Tetsuyama launched the manga adaptation on the Manga ONE and Ura Sunday services in May 2020. Shogakukan published the ninth volume on November 12, 2024.

Satou-san is the unattainable flower of the class. She is always cold and curt with classmates, but only I know she’s actually very cute when she smiles, even if she’s not much of a photographer. Oshio-kun is friendly and lively, but only I know he works at his family’s cafe after school. He does a great job with the cafe’s SNS account, and his mischievous smile makes my heart skip a beat!

The staff of Oshi no Ko Season 3 confirmed that episode 35, the season finale of the third season, will be a one-hour special. A new key visual for the one-hour special finale of Oshi no Ko Season 3 was also revealed on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

CHANMINA performs the Oshi no Ko Season 3 opening theme song “Test Me” and natori performs the ending theme song “Serenade.” Chief animation directors for the third season include Kanna Hirayama, Ayaka Muroga, Kimiaki Mizuno, Shuri, Rina Morita, Haruka Inade, and Hirono Nishiki. Kenji Sawada is the main animator.

The cast of the first two seasons, including Takeo Otsuka as Aqua, returns in Oshi no Ko Season 3. New cast members include Mamoru Miyano as Hikaru Kamiki, Hina Kino as Tsukuyomi, Yuto Takenaka as Shun Yoshizumi and Yōji Ueda as Tetsu Urushibara.

Fans can watch Oshi no Ko Season 3 on Crunchyroll and HIDIVE. Crunchyroll, in collaboration with HIDIVE and other partners, will be streaming the first two seasons of Oshi no Ko, with Season 1 now streaming.

The final volume of the Oshi no Ko manga series by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari released on December 18, 2024 in Japan. All chapters are available to read right now on Manga Plus in English.

CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS launches in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.  This is the biggest Captain Tsubasa game yet with 22 national teams, over 110 playable characters, more than 150 new moves, and much more.

Yoichi Takahashi’s Captain Tsubasa manga series initially began in 1986. The series focuses on 11-year-old Tsubasa Ōzora, a talented soccer player who dreams of competing in the World Cup. The manga would go on to receive multiple anime adaptations, including Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc on Crunchyroll.

STORY OF SEASONS 30th Anniversary and Rune Factory 20th Anniversary Character Polls Now Open

Marvelous has opened character polls celebrating the 30th anniversary of Story of Seasons and 20th anniversary of Rune Factory. The Story of Seasons and Rune Factory character polls will both close on April 6 at 11:59 a.m. JST, and one vote may be placed on each poll per day.

The Story of Seasons poll features 347 characters, while the Rune Factory poll features 213 characters. The top 10 winners of the Story of Seasons poll will get new illustrations by Igusa Matsuyama, and the top 5 winners of the Rune Factory poll will receive new illustrations by Minako Iwasaki.

STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar, the latest entry in the series, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 28 for $49.99. The PS5 version will be sold physically and digitally worldwide, with the physical release being exclusive to Amazon in the U.S. In addition, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will receive Digital Deluxe and Super Digital Deluxe Editions for $59.99 and $69.99, respectively. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the game and the “Trunk of Transformation” set. The Super Digital Deluxe Edition includes Digital Deluxe Edition contents, a digital soundtrack, and digital art book.

STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar launched on August 27, 2025, for $49.99 on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) and $59.99 on Nintendo Switch 2. Physical copies are available at participating retailers and the Marvelous Online Store. PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo Original Soundtrack is Now Streaming

Square Enix has released the original soundtrack of PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo on various streaming services, including Spotify and YouTube Music. The PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo Original Soundtrack includes 19 songs in total, and it’s also available for download on Steam

Fans can also celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the PARANORMASIGHT series with new merchandise, including the PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo / The Mermaid’s Curse Official Guidebook, was also highlighted. In Japan, a new PARANORMASIGHT pop-up store is expected to open in May.

The PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo / The Mermaid’s Curse Official Guidebook will release on April 23 for 3,080 yen in Japan. The guidebook contains a slew of information regarding both games, including character profiles, deep dives into various endings, and never-before-seen concepts. Rhe book also contains a special interview with staff members, including the director, sound composer, and character designer of both games. Pre-orders for the PARANORMASIGHT Official Guidebook are available now in the Square Enix e-Store in Japan.

PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse is available now for Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon reviewed PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse and awarded it a 4/5 score, noting that the game is a “masterclass in atmosphere, successfully blending Japanese folklore with a ‘summer horror’ aesthetic that keeps you uneasy from beginning to end.”

Previously, Square Enix launched a manga adaptation for PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, dubbed PARANORMASIGHT: File 25 – Reikan Shōjō Kurosuzu Mio no Kaigō (PARANORMASIGHT: File 25 – The Chance Encounter of Psychic Girl Mio Kurosuzu), by Hinase Momoyama. The PARANORMASIGHT manga is being serialized on Square Enix’s Manga Up! platform.

Kadokawa has announced the TV anime adaptation of Teniwoha and Riichu’s Killed Again, Mr. Detective? (Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama) light novel series will premiere on April 2 on TBS at 25:58 / April 3 at 1:58 a.m. JST. A new trailer also confirms that Multidimensional Control Mechanism YODAKA will perform the opening theme song “Stardust Eureka.”

Yen Press publishes the manga in English.
