Square Enix has announced that the Star Ocean 30th Anniversary Livestream will be held on July 19 at 20:00 JST / 4:00 a.m. PDT / 7:00 a.m. EDT on YouTube. The Star Ocean 30th Anniversary Livestream will feature a look back at the series history with behind-the-scenes development stories and initiatives. However, there will be no new game announcements.
Neki Matsuzawa will host the program alongside Susumu Imadachi from Eleki Comic. Guests for the livestream include Yūichirō Kitao from Gemdrops and Megumi Komaki from Square Enix.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R, the latest release in the series, is available now on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Star Ocean First Departure R is also available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, so newcomers do have options to get into some of the game’s earliest entries, remastered and improved.
