During the “GUNDAM Showcase – Featuring 30 Years of Gundam Wing” at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Bandai Namco Filmworks released its special Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Operation 30th video on YouTube. In addition to the Operation 30th video’s release, Bandai Namco Filmworks confirmed a theatrical re-release of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz will be screening in Japanese and American theaters.
Moreover, a new manga series by Gundam Wing illustrator Sakura Asagi and screenwriter Katsuyuki Sumisawa was also announced to celebrate the 30th anniversary. The manga bridges the gap between the stories of Endless Waltz and Frozen Teardrop, and chapter 1 is available to read online now.
Fans can watch Mobile Suit Gundam Wing’s clean opening movie “JUST COMMUNICATION” and ending movie “It’s Just Love!” on the official GundamInfo YouTube channel.
Lastly, here’s a synopsis of Gundam Wing, via Bandai Namco Filmworks:
A.C. 195. The space colonies launch Operation Meteor, dropping Gundam mobile suits onto Earth to strike back against the United Earth Sphere Alliance which rules over them with armed force. After catching sight of Heero Yuy, one of the Gundam pilots, Relena Darlian is caught up in the vortex of fate. Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, and Chang Wufei–four other Gundam pilots with the same mission as Heero–begin encountering one another as if drawn together. Through the schemes of Treize Khushrenada, leader of the secret society known as OZ, they end up wiping out the peaceful faction of the Alliance leadership. With this incident, OZ steps onto the center stage of history.
