Prop maker Sean Schofield, a member of the Elden Ring movie production, has revealed that filming for the movie has wrapped. The film will premiere in theaters on March 3, 2028.
While the post has now been deleted, Sean described the project as the “Dream job to end all dream jobs. 6 solid months of blood, sweat and tears making the coolest stuff ever, working alongside the best of the best. Can’t share anything else for a very long time, but I couldn’t be more proud of what we did.” Currently, little details about the film’s story are known, however, the cast includes:

Alex Garland (Civil War, Ex Machina, Annihilation) is the writer/director of the film. Peter Rice will produce alongside Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA. Further, both George R. R. Martin himself and Vince Gerardis will also produce, with direct supervision from Bandai Namco Entertainment and From Software. Reportedly, Garland pitched the film to both developers with a 160-page speculative script draft. The movie will be filmed for IMAX formats.
In the future, more adaptations of From Software games will release. This includes a Sekiro anime titled Sekiro: No Defeat, and an animated film interpretation of Bloodborne which Seán McLoughlin, also known as the YouTuber Jacksepticeye, will produce. Lastly, Elden Ring is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch 2 Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will release on August 28.
