Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have delayed the release of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition to 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was delayed for additional development time in order to optimize the game’s performance.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will feature the base game and the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion in one package. Moreover, the game will feature new armor and customization features for Torrent’s appearance. Further details about the Nintendo Switch 2 version were not revealed yet.

Elden Ring and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion are available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. More than 30 million copies of the game have been sold worldwide as of April 2025. Roughly five million copies have been sold since the last sales update for Elden Ring in June 2024.

The game’s co-op successor, Elden Ring Nightreign, is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon reviewed Elden Ring Nightreign and gave it a 4.5 out 5 score. We stated that the game “understands its own identity and hones in on that. The returning bosses are a treat for older FromSoftware players, and the new mechanics are fun yet challenging to wrap your head around.

The Elden Ring Symphonic Adventure orchestra concert will be held on February 15, 2026 at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Japan. The concert will be handled by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, with conductor Hirofumi Kurita at the helm. In addition, the concert will give fans the opportunity to purchase specially themed merchandise to commemorate the event.
