Gran Turismo 7 is among a few titles that players have been clamoring for on PC in recent memory, but it seems like there’s a small possibility that it could land on Nintendo Switch 2 instead. According to reputable games journalist Jeff Grubb on the Game Mess Decides podcast, he’s heard that PlayStation Studios has Gran Turismo 7 up and running on Nintendo Switch 2, though this isn’t confirmation that such a version will release.
If there’s a solid guess to throw out, PlayStation Studios may be testing Gran Turismo 7 on Switch 2 as part of research and development for the rumored new PlayStation handheld console. However, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see an actual port of Gran Turismo 7 release, considering that Sony began hiring for a new senior director of multiplatform and account management at PlayStation last year.
Gran Turismo 7 is still going strong with a steady flow of updates. This past January, Gran Turismo 7 update 1.67 was released with three new cars, a new Extra Menu item, and various new events. This is the first update following the release of the Spec III update and Power Pack DLC on December 4, 2025.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec III introduced a slew of content, including eight cars, a new cinematic intro, a data logger feature, a revamped Circuit Experience, and the Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve tracks. Power Pack released for $29.99 with 50 races spanning 20 categories, including 24-hour endurance races. The DLC includes 5,000,000 in-game Credits as an added bonus.
Gran Turismo 7 is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Polyphony Digital released the game’s free demo, My First GT, on December 6, 2024. Players may complete the demo to earn bonuses in Gran Turismo 7.
