Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have announced Gran Turismo 7 update 1.65 will release on December 4 alongside the new Power Pack DLC. Known as the Gran Turismo 7 “Spec III” update, the new update will introduce a slew of content, including eight new cars, a new cinematic intro, a data logger feature, a new Circuit Experience, two new tracks, and much more.
Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.65 Breakdown
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.65 includes new content and features entirely for free, so players don’t need to purchase the Power Pack to have access to it. Update 1.65 includes eight new cars: Ferrari 296 GT3 ’23, Ferrari 296 GTB ’22, FIAT Panda 30 CL ’85, Gran Turismo F3500-B, Mine’s BNR34 GT-R N1 base, Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R ’97, Polestar 5 Performance ’26, and Renault Espace F1 ’95.
The update includes the Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve tracks, new Dunlop tires in the Tuning Shop, and a Collector Level cap increase from 50 to 70. Players at Collector Level 50 and above will be rewarded with unlimited invitations to use in Brand Central. In addition, Mission Challenge and Time Trial events will now be part of Weekly Challenges every week for players who viewed the ending of Gran Turismo 7.

The update introduces the new Data Logger feature for Time Trial, License Center, and Circuit Experience, allowing players to load data from their previous attempts or from replays. The tool lets players analyze racing lines, throttle and brake inputs, speed, engine RPM, and much more in real time.
The Seasonal Menu makes its debut in the Café. With the Seasonal Menu, players collect a curated set of cars each season to unlock additional rewards. The Café will also receive the following four Extra Menus:

Four new featured Curations will be available in Scapes: Yas Marina Circuit, Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, Tuning Shop, and Additional Light Location. In Additional Light Location, new lighting options are available to help players brighten scenes where cars appear too dark.
Power Pack Breakdown
With the release of update 1.65, Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack will be available as paid DLC for $29.99. A Power Pack Pavilion icon will be displayed on the World Map after the completion of Menu Book No. 9, Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade. If the player has purchased the DLC, they may open the icon and begin their journey in a “deeply authentic racing experience” with 50 races spanning 20 categories, including 24-hour endurance races. The DLC includes 5,000,000 in-game Credits as an added bonus.
Power Pack mirrors the real-world motorsport experience with full race sessions, including practice, qualifying, and the race itself. Instead of using cars from the player’s garage, each event puts the player behind the wheel of a specially prepared event car. As a result, difficulty may vary greatly depending on your racing skill and handling of the car. There are no retries and second chances within the race, so one collision could mean the end of that event. In addition, Power Pack leverages the use of Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0 for realistic and competitive racing AI opponents.

Each race completion awards Stars based on the finishing position. Collect enough Stars to earn a number of different bonuses and rewards, including six exclusive cars tuned by Polyphony Digital. These cars include the Ford Mustang 2015 American Racer, Nissan Skyline GT-R GP-Tuned (KPGC10), Porsche 911 Turbo Rally (930), Toyota AE86 Levin D-Tuned, Toyota Supra GT Road Car (JZA80), and Volkswagen Beetle 1966 Desert Racer.
Gran Turismo 7 is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Polyphony Digital released the game’s free demo, My First GT, on December 6, 2024. Players may complete the demo to earn bonuses in Gran Turismo 7. Regular updates can be found at the official Gran Turismo blog.
