Nintendo has announced that Intelligent Systems’ upcoming RPG Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is getting an official manga adaptation in Shonen Jump+ and Saikyo Jump starting September 4. The Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave manga will be handled by Himedol!! manga author Kazurou Kyou, who previously illustrated the Fire Emblem Engage manga.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave launches September 17 for Nintendo Switch 2 for $70 digitally and $80 physically, and several new details about the upcoming title were revealed at the August 4 Direct. A “Dagdan Edition” will be available with art cards, a map of Dagda, an artbook, and a steelbook case.
Launched in March 2023, the Fire Emblem Engage manga includes 41 chapters, including a prologue chapter. Fans in Japan can read the series on Saikyo Jump and the Shonen Jump+ online manga service, and Shueisha published the series in print. Unfortunately, the manga is not available to read or purchase in English officially.
Kazurou Kyou’s Fire Emblem Engage manga depicts the story of protagonist Alear. Chapter 1 of the manga covers Alear’s awakening and his arrival at Somniel, which serves his base of operations in the Nintendo Switch game. Fire Emblem Engage manga chapter 2 introduces Alfred, the first prince of Firene and brother of princess Céline. Readers may notice some differences between the events of the game and manga.
Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
