Fire Emblem Engage Manga Serialization Begins in Japan

    Chapter 1 available for free.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems announced serialization of the Fire Emblem Engage manga is underway in Japan. The first chapter was released online for free via the official Shonen Jump+ website.

Written by Himedol!! mangaka Kazurou Kyou, the Fire Emblem Engage manga depicts the story of protagonist Alear, who is male in this depiction. Chapter 1 of the manga covers Alear waking up and arriving at Somniel, which is his new home and base of operations in the Fire Emblem Engage game. However, the manga begins to depict a few key differences compared to the actual game. For instance, Alear wakes up Marth from his Emblem Ring directly after meeting Lumera (Thanks, Siliconera).

Subsequent chapters will be released physically through Saikyo Jump and digitally through Shonen Jump+. Digital chapters will be available three weeks after the print version. Fans can expect the first three chapters of the Fire Emblem Engage manga to release for free before the need for a subscription.

Fire Emblem fans may also read the previously released “Prologue” chapter of the Fire Emblem Engage manga, which released on February 2 for Saikyo Jump and Shonen Jump+. The Prologue chapter depicts events shortly before and during the beginning of Fire Emblem Engage

Lastly, Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
