NetherRealm Studios has released a launch trailer for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, the upcoming expansion for Mortal Kombat 1. The expansion will be available on September 24 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The latest trailer showcases the expansion’s story, characters, gameplay, and of course, its brand new fatalities. It also showcases more of the game’s new animalities, animal-based fatalities that are returning to the series. One of the new animalities is based on the infamous Noob Saibot fatality from Mortal Kombat 9.
The DLC will include Noob Saibot, Sektor, and Cyrax at launch. In the months following its launch on September 24, NetherRealm Studios will also add the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Conan the Barbarian, and Ghostface from the Scream franchise. Mortal Kombat 1 is the most recent entry in the beloved Mortal Kombat franchise. The game is available now and features various unique characters and brand-new ways to play. In November, during New York Comic-Con, NRS released the first DLC character, Omni-Man, for the game. They released Quan Chi in December, with the next character, Peacemaker, releasing in February. In April, Ermac was added to the game. In June, NRS added Homelander. The most recent character was Takeda.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available now on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The upcoming story expansion, Khaos Reigns, will be available for all consoles on September 24.
