NetherRealm Studios has finally revealed the first trailer for the next DLC character coming to Mortal Kombat 1: Takeda Takahashi. The character will release for early access owners on July 23. He will also be available to play at EVO 2024.
Mortal Kombat 1 is the most recent entry in the beloved Mortal Kombat franchise. The game is available now and features various unique characters and brand-new ways to play. In November, during New York Comic-Con, NRS released the first DLC character, Omni-Man, for the game. They released Quan Chi in December, with the next character, Peacemaker, releasing in February. In April, Ermac was added to the game. The most recent character released for Mortal Kombat 1 was Homelander.
Mortal Kombat 1 Showcases Takeda Takahashi in New Preview
NetherRealm Studios has revealed a gameplay trailer for Takeda Takahashi, the next DLC character for Mortal Kombat 1. The character will be available for early access owners on July 23. He will also be available to play during EVO 2024. Check out the trailer below:
NetherRealm Studios initially introduced Takeda Takahashi in Mortal Kombat X. In that game, he was Kenshi’s son and Scorpion’s apprentice. With Mortal Kombat 1 serving as a reboot to the franchise, only time will tell how Takeda’s story will differ from his first appearance.
During the CCXP 2023 event in Brazil, Ed Boon held a panel dedicated to Mortal Kombat. During the event, he revealed that the game will be getting story DLC in the near future. He stated: “Just like we did with MK11, we’re going to release a second part with more story and we have a big surprise after that.” They will likely confirm more details about the future of Mortal Kombat 1 during San Diego Comic Con.
Takeda Takashi will be available for Mortal Kombat 1 on July 23 for Early Access players.
