During San Diego Comic-Con 2024, NetherRealm Studios announced the Khaos Reigns DLC for Mortal Kombat 1. The story DLC is reminiscent of Mortal Kombat 11‘s Aftermath DLC, taking place after the events of the base game. The story will highlight a new version of Havik as the main antagonist and add new characters, including Noob Saibot, Sektor, and Cyrax.
In this continuity, Sektor and Cyrax are gender-bent. Additionally, they are no longer robots, instead possessing mechanical suits of armor. The DLC will allow players to play as the three characters mentioned above, alongside three guest characters: the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Conan the Barbarian, and Ghostface from the Scream franchise. The DLC will also add Animalities, animal-based fatalities that are returning to the series.
Khaos Reigns will be available for all consoles on September 24.
