Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga DLC and Roadmap Revealed

    The future is in chaos.

Bandai Namco has revealed the new “Future Saga” DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, marking a new chapter for the online action game. A new roadmap for the game was unveiled as well, which includes the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions launching on May 24.

Despite the development of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 doesn’t appear to be winding down anytime soon. 2024 will be a major year for the game, as the Future Saga DLC introduces new playable characters, scenario, and side content to explore.

The Future Saga will begin with its first DLC chapter in spring 2024 for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Players can expect a new antagonist, playable Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé, Ultra Supervillain) and Vegeta (Super Saiyan God, Ultra Supervillain), and other new content. A third playable character was teased on the roadmap alongside more DLC chapters.

Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO is in development and will feature a “historic” roster of characters and newer fan-favorites from Dragon Ball Super. In fact, the game is speculated to have 164 playable characters in total. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO features incredible visuals, dynamic effects, and in-game weather changes when transforming or charging ki.

Executive producer Akio Iyoku is committed to a decade of Dragon Ball anime and games, which includes the new Dragon Ball Daima anime and Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO game. He will be vital to the growth of the anime and games sector, while Toyotarou handles the manga and upholds Akira Toriyama’s lasting legacy. Dragon Ball Daima will premiere in fall 2024 on Fuji TV, and more details are coming soon.

Lastly, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
