Perfect World Games revealed the opening movie for Persona 5: The Phantom X, which features a new song by Persona 5 vocalist by Lyn Inaizumi. Players in China will see this opening movie play when the game launches on April 12.
With over 10 million pre-registrations in China, Persona 5: The Phantom X looks to be a major hit in the region. The game is also planned to release in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Before then, fans can get a sneak peek of the game’s animated cutscenes and cast by watching the opening movie.
Persona 5: The Phantom X Opening Movie
The opening movie for Persona 5: The Phantom X features the main theme song “Ambitions and Visions” by Lyn Inaizumi. The opening movie version of the song is just under two minutes long.

The game’s official website and Wanmei account recently released a new gameplay trailer with Japanese voice-overs and Chinese subtitles. The gameplay trailer highlights protagonist Wonder, his new Phantom Thief companions, and the returning Phantom Thieves. Players explore everyday school life and the Metaverse as the protagonist Wonder, just like Joker once did in Persona 5 / Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 5: The Phantom X releases on April 12 to Android, iOS, and PC (Windows) in China. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will be the next major ATLUS release, with Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis -The Answer- following up this September. After the release of Episode Aigis, Metaphor: ReFantazio will land on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in fall 2024.
