SEGA and ATLUS announced the Persona 5 series surpassed a total of 10 million copies sold worldwide. Character designer Shigenori Soejima shared a new illustration celebrating the achievement, and Haruna Kawaguchi has been announced as a brand ambassador for the series alongside Jun Shison.
This past September, SEGA reiterated that the Persona series sold over nine million copies sold. Sales of the Persona 5 Royal remaster contributed toward the growth in sales this past year, and the release of Persona 5 Tactica helped the Persona 5 series surpass 10 million copies sold.
Persona 5 Series Reaches the 10 Million Sales Mark
On December 15 (JST), ATLUS revealed a new illustration of Joker and Morgana from Persona 5, confirming that sales of the series surpassed 10 million copies worldwide. These sales include digital and physical copies of Persona 5, Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Strikers, and Persona 5 Tactica.

Moreover, ATLUS is celebrating the milestone with a 50% off sale for Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch in Japan. The Nintendo eShop sale will be active until January 10, 2024. The sale will also be available on Steam and the PlayStation Store in Japan soon.
Several new videos were released, promoting the Persona series in winter 2023 and the upcoming release of Persona 3 Reload. These videos star Japanese actors Haruna Kawaguchi and Jun Shison, who are also the brand ambassadors for the Persona series. Kawaguchi and Shison may be seen in three new visuals as well.
