Persona 6 will reportedly release on all major platforms, including the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, according to reputable SEGA and ATLUS insider Midori (@MbKKssTBhz5). If the rumors are true, Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor ReFantazio are also planned to release on the next-generation Nintendo console alongside various SEGA remakes.
Just recently, Midori discussed that Persona 2 and Persona 4 remakes are in the works at ATLUS. This came after she corroborated Persona 3 Reload datamines that seemingly confirm The Answer will be DLC, just a few days after she broke news that ATLUS is planning to release several DLC packs. All of the Persona 3 Reload rumors turned out to be true, including the Expansion Pass and Episode Aigis -The Answer-.
Persona 6 Coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox, and More
Midori corroborates the DirectXbox Podcast’s recent remarks regarding the launch of Persona 6 on Xbox platforms, alongside all major platforms. When asked about specific platforms, Midori notes that Persona 6 will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 when the game releases.
Official details about Persona 6 are unknown, but ATLUS appears to be gearing up for several major releases within the next year and beyond. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will be the first of ATLUS’ new releases following Persona 3 Reload, with Episode Aigis -The Answer- releasing this September. After the release of Episode Aigis, Metaphor: ReFantazio will land on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in fall 2024.
It’s also worth noting that Soul Hackers 2 director Eiji Ishida is working on a new unannounced game at ATLUS. He’s working alongside the game’s director to complete it, likely in a producer or assistant director type role.
Moreover, Persona 5: The Phantom X from Perfect World Games is expected to receive a worldwide release on Android, iOS, and PC.
Lastly, Persona 3 Reload is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. As part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks Program, the Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass will be free for Game Pass Ultimate members.
