Soul Hackers 2 and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore producer and director Eiji Ishida is working on a new unannounced game at ATLUS, according to 4Gamer’s 2024 developer aspirations article. His colleagues at ATLUS also suggest that announcements could be on the way in 2024.
Soul Hackers 2 is the sequel to the original Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers title, which is part of a Shin Megami Tensei sub-series. The game did not meet SEGA’s sales expectations, but Soul Hackers 2 would receive additional updates and join Xbox Game Pass earlier in 2023. The staff from Soul Hackers 2 appear to be working on a new game, with Ishida producing it alongside an unnamed director.

Ishida is involved in the development of an unannounced ATLUS game, and he’s working alongside the game’s director to complete it. He hopes for the continued support of fans when the game is finally announced, according to Persona Central.
“I am currently involved with an unannounced title,” Ishida told 4Gamer. “While the title hasn’t been revealed yet, I am working diligently alongside the director towards its completion. When the time comes for the announcement, I hope for your continued support. Thank you.”
Moreover, ATLUS Sound Team composer Toshiki Konishi is also teases being “summoned” in 2024, so he may also be working on a new project as well. It remains to be seen of Konishi’s project will be related to Ishida’s project, however.
“As for next year… what will happen?? I’ve been hearing all sorts of discussions, but I feel like I’ll be summoned soon, so I’ll keep my shoulders (!?) warmed up,” Konishi told 4Gamer. “First and foremost, please look forward to Kitajoh’s work on Persona 3 Reload!”
ATLUS’ major releases for 2024 include Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio. Persona 3 Reload is a major remake of the original Persona 3, and Metaphor: ReFantazio is a new fantasy RPG by Katsura Hashino and ATLUS Studio Zero.
Lastly, Persona 3 Reload releases February 2, 2024 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows. Metaphor: ReFantazio launches in fall 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
