HoYoverse announced the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1 “Into the Yawning Chasm” update will release on March 27. The new update will see players go even further into the depths of Penacony to uncover the most hidden of secrets.
Leading up to the game’s one-year anniversary, Honkai: Star Rail players will be treated to exciting events with Version 2.1. Players who log in to Honkai: Star Rail and participate in the new events may earn up to 20 Star Rail Special Passes, 1,600 Stellar Jades, and other exclusive rewards. Version 2.1 is an update that fans will not want to miss.
Go “Into the Yawning Chasm” in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1
The main story of Penacony continues in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1, and the new Fate’s Ensemble feature will help players grasp and fully understand the storyline. Players will also learn about the perspectives other characters have about what’s unfolding in the story.
Five-star character Acheron will finally be playable in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1. She’s able to accumulate Slashed Dream charges when she unleashes her skill or an ally inflicts a debuff. When a certain amount of charges is reached, Acheron may activate her Ultimate with up to four hits against her enemies. Three of these hits target single enemies, while the final attack damages all of them. Her Technique allows her to instantly attack her enemies and eliminate them without entering battle if they are normal enemies.
Five-star character Aventurine will also make his debut. Aventurine’s unique Skill lets him grant a stackable shield to allies. Shielded allies will accumulate Blind Bet charges for Aventurine after being attacked. After a certain amount, Blind Bet allows Aventurine to unleash a follow-up attack and re-stack the shield on his allies. His Ultimate grants an amount of Blind Bet, deals damage to a single enemy target, and unleashes a special debuff on enemies. Inflicting this debuff also increases the critical damage for allies.
Gallagher will join the party as a new four-star character as well. As a reliable companion, his Ultimate deals damage to all enemies, inflicts special debuffs, and restores health to allies when they attack enemies inflicted with the debuffs. What’s more, 5-star characters Luocha and Jingliu will appear in the first and second-phase banners for Version 2.1.
Announcement Trailer and New Events
Players will explore storylines in the Clock Studios Theme Park and Dewlight Pavilion. The Clock Studios Theme Park is an exciting location found within the Golden Hour Dreamscape. The Dewlight Pavilion resides in the Moment of Morning Dew, a tranquil and mysterious Dreamscape.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1 will introduce the new drink-mixing “Vignettes in a Cup” event. Players may create Dreamjolt Specials or chat with monsters to learn their back stories. The ninth and newest world in the Simulated Universe will also be available.
The Cosmodyssey will let players travel to “various historical cosmic journeys on a mysterious game board” and relive moments from the Honkai: Star Rail story with friends. The Immersive Interactive Exhibition will also open its doors as an online celebration featuring themed sections dedicated to Herta Space Station, Belobog, Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony.
Lastly, offline celebrations for Honkai: Star Rail’s first anniversary will be held in major cities like Los Angeles, Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong, Berlin, Paris, and Bangkok.
