Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio may be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 according to Midori (@MbKKssTBhz5), a prominent insider and leaker for SEGA and ATLUS titles. The Nintendo Switch successor may be geared up for an incredible first year of support.
As a remake of Persona 3, Persona 3 Reload includes additional side episodes, quality-of-life changes, a revamped soundtrack, an improved Tartarus labyrinth, and so much more. Persona 3 Reload is one of the most anticipated games of 2024, but the lack of a Nintendo Switch version upset fans during the initial reveal in 2023. However, this may be for a good reason, as ATLUS could be preparing to support the next Nintendo console.
Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio on Switch 2
A Nintendo Switch version of Persona 3 Reload was decided against, according to the AtomixVG interview. However, ATLUS notes that they’ve recognized the demand for a Nintendo Switch version, and it’s a matter of discussing with the development team. In response to MeovvCAT, who summarized the interview, Midori notes that Persona 3 Reload will be on the next Nintendo hardware, Nintendo Switch 2. She also claims that Studio Zero’s fantasy RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio will be on the console as well.

Although rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, Midori’s track record is relatively spotless. For example, the leaker confirmed several details about Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and Persona 5: The Phantom X prior to reveals and news releases.
More Persona 3 Reload news will come on January 25, which is the date of the next full moon. On January 31, Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice will both perform at a Persona 3 Reload mini concert in Japan. Persona 3 Reload collaboration events and merchandise information will be unveiled at the concert.
