    Pokémon HOME Version 3.1.0 Will Add Support for Scarlet & Violet DLC

    Fan-favorite starter Pokémon will return soon.

    The Pokémon Company announced the Pokémon HOME version 3.1.0 update is coming soon with support for the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Fans will be able to transfer their beloved starter Pokémon from previous generations soon. 

    During Pokémon World Championships 2023, The Pokémon Company revealed starter Pokémon from all eight prior generations will be available in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. The Teal Mask DLC releases on September 13, so players only have a month before their favorite Pokémon are available in the game. To prepare for the DLC’s launch, a major update for Pokémon HOME is coming soon.

    Pokémon HOME Version 3.1.0 Brings DLC Support

    The Pokémon Company confirms that the Pokémon HOME version 3.1.0 update will add compatibility for Pokémon added in the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. This new update will likely allow players who don’t own the DLC to transfer their previous starter Pokémon to use in the base game. A release date for the new update was not revealed yet.

      • Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle.
    • Generation 2 Starters
      • Cyndaquill, Chikorita, and Totodile
    • Generation 3 Starters
      • Torchic, Treecko, and Mudkip
    • Generation 4 Starters
      • Chimchar, Turtwig, and Piplup
    • Generation 5 Starters
      • Tepig, Snivy, and Oshawott
    • Generation 6 Starters
      • Fennekin, Chespin, and Froakie
    • Generation 7 Starters
      • Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio
    • Generation 8 Starters
      • Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble

    Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide. The Teal Mask DLC launches first on September 13, followed by The Indigo Disk DLC this winter. Pre-orders are currently available now in the Nintendo eShop.
