Registration for the pre-access beta of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is now available! Details of the beta and its timing were confirmed at this year’s Anime Expo, as well as the reveal of the new playable character Nier.
The reason for this beta test is to properly examine and stress-test the brand-new rollback netcode system that has been implemented for Rising. This will allow a large portion of players to stress the servers at once.
Register Now for the Pre-Access Beta
You can now enter the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising website and register for the pre-access beta. This will allow you to play the beta for two days early, totaling 4 days if you include the open beta period. The following characters will be playable in this beta:
The pre-access beta will run from July 26 to July 27, with the full beta running from July 28 to July 29. This will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms. You will have from today until July 16 at 11:59 PM PDT to sign up for registration of the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising pre-acess beta.

Rising is a sequel to Granblue Fantasy Versus. New characters, features, modes, graphics, and netcode are being added for its launch. It was confirmed at Anime Expo that the developers are considering guest characters and are open to anyone. An open beta tournament will be held at EVO 2023, open to all players above the age of 18.

This new game maintains the high-quality presentation that the Granblue Fantasy franchise is known for and the easy-to-play game system praised by both newcomers and fighting game veterans alike in the previous Granblue Fantasy Versus title. Additionally, the game will feature many new game elements, including all-new characters, mechanics, and modes.
Furthermore, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will utilize long-awaited rollback netcode technology for an even smoother and more responsive online play experience. The game will also support cross-play between PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC (Steam), allowing players to engage in battle and interact cross-platform with more players for a more united player community and dynamic gameplay.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will feature a variety of new ways to enjoy the Granblue Fantasy Versus series. The game will add a host of numerous new and rebalanced gameplay mechanics to battles as well, allowing players to engage with a simple, yet profoundly tactical gameplay experience.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will launch later in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
