Nihon Falcom have relaunched its official website with new box art, key art, and much more about Ys X: Nordics. Additionally, the developer shared a new gameplay trailer via its official Twitter account.
The new Ys X: Nordics website recaps details about the game from several of Nihon Falcom’s prior showcases and news releases. Fans may access the Ys X: Nordics website to watch previously released trailers, download new Twitter icons featuring Ys characters, read a story synopsis, and view several pieces of art. Moreover, the product page reveals key art and box art while recapping information about the Ys X: Nordics “Adol Christin” Edition.

Ys X: Nordics Recap
As previously reported, the events of Ys X: Nordics takes place after Ys II and before Ys: Memories of Celceta. 17-year old Adol and his trusty companion Dogi head into Karnak and Odelia Bay for a new adventure on their way to Celceta. Early into his new journey, Adol meets Karja Balta, daughter of the leader of the Balta Navy. Despite her ruthlessness in combat, Karja is the heroine of Ys X: Nordics, and she’s the same age as Adol.
Adol and Karja are the only two playable characters in Ys X: Nordics. The duo have access to a wide range of useful Mana Actions, however. Mana String, Mana Ride, and Mana Burst serve as combat and traversal abilities that will help players progress through the game. Additionally, Mana Actions may be upgraded by progressing through the main story and obtaining stone slates. Certain Mana abilities may be used while commanding a ship as well.
Adol may take control of the Sandras, a large ship, to traverse the vast waters of Obelia Bay. Ys X: Nordics players may engage in naval combat by sailing toward enemies or vice versa. The ship is mounted with cannons with different ammunition types, so players may fire away at enemies while maneuvering around the opposition’s cannon fire. When an enemy ship’s durability is depleted, Adol and Karja may board the ship and clear out crews for rewards. Throughout the main story, players may upgrade the ship to strengthen its defenses and firepower.
Lastly, Ys X: Nordics launches in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in Japan.
