    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Custom Icons Now Available

    Second wave arrives on May 18.

    Nintendo announced several custom icons for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are available now for Nintendo Switch users. Fans may redeem the first wave of icons right now, and a second wave will be available starting May 18. 

    The first wave of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom custom icons are available now until Thursday, May 18. Four more custom icon elements will be available from May 18 at 6:00 p.m. PDT / 9:00 p.m. EDT to the following Thursday, May 25. All eight icons may be redeemed by spending MyNintendo Platinum Points in the Nintendo Switch Online section on Nintendo Switch.

    Custom icons may be edited and adjusted by the user on Nintendo Switch. Users have access to interchangeable frames, characters, and background elements to create a unique user icon. Nintendo Switch players can expect even more custom icon elements in the weeks and months to come. 

    The day one update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is also available now. The game’s first update adjusts Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language support. Additionally, the update fixes various bugs to round out the overall experience on launch day.

    Famitsu released its May 25 issue today featuring a cover story for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The new issue includes an overview of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom alongside a retrospective feature about its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

    Lastly, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches May 12 for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
