The latest rumor comes from Doctre81, who accurately predicted and detailed Switch rumors in the past like Metroid Prime 4 development and Witcher 3 on Switch. Apparently, Saber Interactive is working with New World Interactive, developers of Insurgency: Sandstorm, to bring the game to Switch. A recent job listing by the company requires animation programmers who are familiar with Switch hardware. In addition, the team is working on bringing the game to next-gen platforms like PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. The official account even touts Saber Interactive for their impressive current gen ports:
We are working closely with Saber Interactive to bring the best possible version of Insurgency: Sandstorm to current and next-gen.
With Saber known for exceptional console ports, we're very excited to show you what we've been working on, and will have more to share in time.
