Linekong just hosted their special TGS 2020 stream for Ys VIII Mobile! Ys VIII Mobile is a special version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana made for iOS and Android. It includes an all-new visual style for the game along with new character designs. These new character designs are faithful to those of Ys VIII. The game also features new characters like axe-wielder Rucol and a currently unnamed character. Here are more details and screenshots from the stream, courtesy of HDKirin:

Linekong showed off some environments with the new visual style of Ys VIII Mobile. The game seems to still be in early development but became a bigger project. Falcom and Falcom President Toshihiro Kondo seem to be overseeing the project.
Series protagonist Adol Christin dons another new look in the series but it resembles that of his appearance in Ys VIII on consoles. We speculate that Ys VIII Mobile will have different story segments while retaining many of the original Ys VIII release. Of course, that remains to be seen as the game is still early in development. The stream includes a scene of Adol meeting Laxia early in the game.
