TMS Entertainment has announced that it will begin streaming the “Clash of the Red and Black” episode selection of the Detective Conan anime series on November 1 on Netflix and Crunchyroll. The “Clash of the Red and Black” episode selection focuses on an arc of the Detective Conan anime where the FBI faces off against the Black Organization. This is the first English release of the arc in the west.
Crunchyroll is already streaming the Detective Conan (Case Closed) anime series, including the Detective Conan Episode “ZERO” The Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case one-hour TV special. Detective Conan Episode “ZERO” takes place before high schooler Shinichi Kudō became Conan Edogawa.
Previously, the Detective Conan: 30-gō Satsujin Jiken (Detective Conan: The Counterfeit Case of Ultra 30) anime special was released on September 25, featuring an original story written by Takeharu Sakurai (Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet). This special isn’t streaming on Crunchyroll yet.
Gōshō Aoyama’s manga made its debut in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in 1994.
VIZ Media releases the manga in English and describes it as follows:
Ghastly beheadings, bloody murders, and coldhearted child abductions–
Precocious high school student Jimmy Kudo uses his keen powers of observation and astute intuition to solve mysteries that have left law enforcement officials baffled. Hot on the trail of a suspect, Jimmy is accosted from behind and fed a strange chemical that physically transforms him into a grade schooler! Taking on the pseudonym Conan Edogawa, he attempts to track down the people who did this to him. However, until he finds a cure for his bizarre condition, Jimmy continues to assist the police in solving their most challenging cases.
Can you crack the case before Conan does?
