Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Update 1.0.3 Patch Notes

Fixed issues

  • Fixed an issue that prevented game progression after trying to visit a Mii character from the Mii List at the same time that Mii character entered or exited the Ferris wheel.
  • Fixed an issue with receiving money that, on rare occasion, prevented the amount of money the player has from displaying properly, which then prevented game progression.
  • Fixed an issue where, on rare occasion, raising a Mii character’s satisfaction level repeatedly could trigger an error and cause the game to close.
  • Fixed an issue where the number of days after becoming sweethearts or after getting married could display incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would zoom in too much when giving a Mii character a head rub.
  • Fixed an issue where occasionally some objects would not display correctly during Mii News or within the photo studio.
  • Fixed an issue where a Mii character could have all of the clothing items necessary to create a particular outfit, but the game didn’t respond as if the Mii character owned that outfit.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes lingo taught to Mii characters wasn’t always spoken aloud fully.
  • Other issues were fixed to improve the gameplay experience.

Changes to local play

  • Mii characters or other creations cannot be sent via local play if the island name or player name contains numbers or text that is subject to display restrictions.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream launched on April 16 digitally in the Nintendo eShop and physically at the Nintendo Store and retail. A free demo is available now, allowing players to make a few Miis and try out some of the game’s features. Save data from the demo transfers to the full game. For completing the demo, you get a free hamster costume, which also carries over to the full game.

UNBEATABLE Releases for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 27

UNBEATABLE Releases for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 27

Playstack and D-CELL have announced that UNBEATABLE will release for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 27, alongside the new Jamie Paige Content Companion DLC. A new free update is also available today.

The free update adds the game’s credits theme, “WAY BACK WHEN,” as a playable song, alongside new playable characters for both base edition and BREAKOUT EDITION owners. The latter will also get 6+ exclusive characters. A physical edition of UNBEATABLE for Nintendo Switch 2 is in development with iam8bit, and will include a digital soundtrack download code and reversible poster. Check out the trailer showcasing the Jamie Paige Content Companion DLC for UNBEATABLE below:

UNBEATABLE is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The store page describes the game as follows:

UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.

Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.

The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn’t help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?

Talk to people, help them out (or don’t, I’m not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what’s going on there?!?!

All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It’ll get you through it.

Xbox Series X|S Price Increase Takes Effect on August 1

XBOX price increase

XBOX has announced that the price of Xbox Series X|S consoles will increase by $100 for 512 GB models and $150 for 1 TB models on August 1. According to XBOX, the price increase for Xbox Series X|S is attributed to console storage and memory prices being increased by 2.5, with another doubling projected for fall of 2027.

Here’s the full statement released by XBOX via XBOX Wire:

Effective August 1, 2026, we will be updating prices worldwide. The price of XBOX consoles will increase by US$100 for 512 GB models and US$150 for 1 TB models. We will also be sunsetting our 2 TB model.

Last October, we increased XBOX console price by $20-$70 in the U.S. We hoped another price increase would not be necessary, and we have spent the last several months working with suppliers on options. Unfortunately, console storage and memory prices have increased by more than 2.5x and we expect another doubling by the fall of 2027. The entire consumer electronics industry is struggling with the current components crisis, but the effects are particularly hard on consoles. Unlike phones, computers, speakers, and other consumer devices, consoles are typically not sold at a profit, but instead for less than they cost to make.

Today we are also sharing programs to make XBOX consoles more accessible:

      • Buy Now, Pay Later: We’ve made it easier for players to use Buy Now, Pay Later options on eligible XBOX hardware purchases through Microsoft Stores, making it possible to break up your payment into predictable short-term, interest-free installments.
      • Interest Free Financing: Players purchasing eligible XBOX hardware through Amazon can take advantage of 0% APR financing for up to 12 months, giving players more flexibility with lower monthly payments and more budgeting control.
      • Previously Played Consoles: We are working with retail partners on new programs to provide previously played consoles at lower prices. Players who are ready to upgrade or no longer use their console will be able to trade it in with participating retail partners for cash or store credit. Those consoles will then be made available at lower prices for players.
      • Certified Refurbished Consoles: XBOX Certified Refurbished Consoles are available at Microsoft Stores for up to US$100 off MSRP.

XBOX Series S remains the lowest-cost way for console players to enjoy the biggest hits this year, including Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4Gears of War: E-DayGrand Theft Auto VI, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Madden NFL 27.
