Aniplex, JOYCITY, and Capcom’s free-to-play real-time strategy game Resident Evil: Survival Unit will collaborate with the Monster Hunter series with a new event starting July 2. Lasting through July 29 at 23:59 UTC, the Resident Evil: Survival Unit and Monster Hunter collaboration will bring large-scale monster encounters without compromising the game’s strategic systems.
During the event period, players can participate in collaboration-exclusive in-game events and earn rewards directly inspired by the Monster Hunter series. Further details about event content and gameplay mechanics will be announced at a later date via in-game notices and official social media channels for Resident Evil: Survival Unit.
Resident Evil: Survival Unit is available on Android via Google Play Store and iOS via App Store in 151 countries and regions worldwide, with additional territories to follow in 2026. The game exceeded 2 million pre-registrations ahead of launch, netting players a slew of free rewards, including Advanced Flare Gun, 200K Rewards Package, Speedup (5min), 1,000 Gems, Base Skin (7 Days), and Special Flare Gun.
Previously, a cinematic trailer for Resident Evil: Survival Unit confirmed that Japanese rock band QUEEN BEE is performing the theme song “Mountain Hunt,” with vocals by Avu-chan. The trailer was produced by Quebico, the studio behind the full 3DCG animation Resident Evil: Death Island. As described by Aniplex, the song portrays the tension between creatures and characters as players seek survival.
