Resident Evil Requiem Update Makes Adjustments to Leon Must Die Forever

Capcom has released a new update for Resident Evil Requiem with bug fixes and adjustments to difficulty and skills in the Leon Must Die Forever mode. Some of the skills that were adjusted for the Leon Must Die Forever mode include Strategist, Throwing+ and Explosive Specialist, all of which should perform better in Resident Evil Requiem.

Read up on the patch notes for the new update below:

  • Fixed some minor issues.
  • Reduced the difficulty of Forever – Rank 1 and Forever – Rank 2 in the additional minigame, Leon Must Die Forever.
  • Enhanced some of the skills in the additional minigame, Leon Must Die Forever, to allow for a wider variety of enhancer combinations.
    • Greatly increased the probability that hand grenades won’t be consumed when using the “Explosives Specialist” skill.
    • Increased the percentage of attack power boosts for hand grenades and other throwable weapons when using the “Throwing+” skill.
    • Extended the duration of the “Strategist” skill and increased the percentage of attack power boosts.

Resident Evil Requiem is available now for PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam alongside a free demo. The Deluxe Edition is available with the Standard Edition ($69.99), a pack of five costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, two weapon charms, and much more. A Premium Steelbook Edition ($89.99) is also available featuring the full game, Deluxe Edition contents, and a limited-edition lenticular card.

Leon Must Die Forever is described as “an extra game mode that is unlocked after players complete the main story and comes packed with the nonstop combat action that players know and love from legendary agent Leon S. Kennedy. Fight your way through areas you’ve visited previously throughout the game and defeat the final boss, all with stronger enemy variants, five increasingly difficulty ranks, and a race against the clock! Fill your enhancement gauge by defeating enemies in order to unlock Leon’s ‘enhancer abilities’ exclusive to this game mode.”
